Four outstanding features found on the new AC72
Every owner has unique requirements depending on their lifestyle and sailing plans. That is why we want to build yachts that effortlessly express the personality, tastes and sensibilities of you, the client. The care we put in the execution of each build process leads to being able to identify and perfect all of the fine details – combine that with our exhaustive search and selection process to identify the highest quality materials, and we arrive at our truly unique and exclusive boats.
As a starting point, the AC72 proposes 3 layouts, and 3 styles – our sartorial templates, from which to inspire your own unique yacht.
2 – ITALIAN DESIGN
Expansive space meet sailing enjoyment in perfect balance in our 72ft cruising cat. With a saloon unmatched in large cruising catamarans, an “aft beach” stretching the full 10-metres beam, and a forward cockpit to enjoy private relaxation. And yet, painstaking hours were taken to maximise the use of every square millimetre aboard the AC72. Our careful visualization and modelling process allowed for 360-degree views from the saloon seats, with pleasant and natural light in all areas to make the yacht inviting and atmospheric. Indoor/outdoor living is delivered in true Italian fashion via the broadest possible 3-section saloon doors. Our reimagined flybridge allows the helmsman, family, and guests to engage in the sailing and social time altogether. The AC72 is an irrepressible mix of social living with sailing pleasure.
3 – EXHILARATING PERFORMANCE
To ensure exhilirating performance under sail, Advanced Yacht entrust the naval architecture to renown American studio Reichel/Pugh – an established leader in the design of high-performance boats. The resulting design and construction technique was highly optimized for responsive handling and crucially, to save weight. Hull and deck are in composite – using advanced foam cores and being vacuum-infused with epoxy resin. Extensive use of carbon reinforcements are found throughout the areas of maximum load and the deckhouse is fully carbon construcftion. The interiors are lightweight, and all the fittings are chosen with particular attention to durability while all are weighed before being installed.
4 – Variable Draft Versatility
Exploring the shallow-draft tropics is a key capability of the AC72, while race-winning performance is part of Advanced DNA. To blend these two requirements, innovative centreboards are fitted to provide shallow draft freedom, with no compromise on performance. Combined with our approach to manageability of propulsion, steering and sail handling, we made this yacht the perfect exploration vessel for sailors of all skill levels, with or without crew. Carefully engineered by the best in the business, the centreboard systems are yet another example of Advanced Yachts commitment to excellence in practical yacht design.
